Whether the HVLS Fan will fall mainly depends on the connection of the fan’s components of the largest weight. The early connection technology of large industrial fans is as same as the ordinary household fan that each component is fastened and connected by several bolts. However, due to the huge volume and weight of large industrial fans as well as collision, power failure and emergency stop, long-term use will make the bolts easily to bend or even break, resulting in potential safety hazards.
In view of the above safety problems, Vanse uses the tenon and mortise structure from the Chinese architecture and applies it to the key construction and connection of the fan, including the connection between the inner cone and the motor, between the chassis and the blade handle, and between the blade handle and the buffer device, which perfectly solves the potential safety hazard of falling. What is tenon and mortise structure? How can mortise and tenon connection be applied in industrial fans? Vanse ventilation is introduced in detail below.
Tenon and mortise structure is the most important connection mode in China's traditional woodworking technology. "Tenon" is a convex component, and "mortise" is a concave component, which is collectively called tenon and mortise. The traditional structure is characterized by reasonable connection, comprehensive design, accurate technology, tight fastening which has been found as early as 7000 years ago in the dry column architectural structure in the Neolithic site of Hemudu village, Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, China, and has developed through the continuous evolution of the large wood structure architectural system.
The main function of mortise and tenon is to connect and fix two or more components. Different from gluing, metal welding and bolt connection, the significant advantage of mortise and tenon lies in the flexible joint. Chinese traditional architecture relies on flexible connection, which makes it quite elastic and self-healing. Compared with other connections, slight deformation is allowed at the joint of tenon and mortise, and the structural connection is at the flexible node rather than the rigid node, so that the connection can bear large load, absorb certain vibration energy through deformation, and enhance stability.
The connecting part of Vanse HVLS Fan is designed with tenon and mortise structure, in which the prominent part is the connection between the inner cone and the motor, between the disc and the blade handle, and between the blade handle and the buffer device, which effectively ensures the overall safety of the fan.
1. The inner cone connects with the motor
The tenon and mortise joint in oblique cone style is composed of inner cone and outer cone. The inside part of the inner cone is connected with the motor output shaft, and the outside part is with the outer cone, which are fastened by other parts. First, people shall ensure that the inner cone and the motor as well as the outer cone and the wheel disc are integrated. When the fan bears the falling force, the greater the force on the inner and outer cone, the more firm it is, which not only ensures the integrity of the fan structure, makes the fan bear more uniform force, prevents the risk of fan falling, but also ensures the service life of the motor.2. The disc connects with the petiole
The tenon and mortise joint with hook can not only bear large load, but also produce a little deformation. The fan will produce vibration during operation, which can be absorbed to a certain degree by the joint through its deformation to minimize resonance frequency of the fan. The wheel disc is composed of hanging disc, chassis and petiole. The hanging disc and chassis are made of Q235 steel plate to ensure the overall strength. The hanging disc combines five petioles into a whole and connects them with high-strength bolts, which play a role of fastening.3. The petiole connects with the buffer device
If adopted the tenon and mortise joint with concave and convex surface , as the running track of the fan blade is transverse clockwise, the two sides of the head connected between the blade handle and the buffer device are designed as concave and have an outward expansion angle to ensure the tightness of assembly. The buffer device is composed of multiple parts, mainly a buffer cavity in which two sliding buffer elements are designed inside. There are special materials between buffer elements and buffer cavity to achieve the purpose of buffering. One end of the buffer element is designed as convex and has an inward slope to match the assembly of the blade handle, with the center locked with a 12.9 high-strength bolt which only plays a fastening role and does not bear the shear force or centrifugal force during operation, so as to ensure the reliability and specialization of the connection between the buffer device and the blade handle as well as avoid the blade fracture caused by excessive shear force and centripetal force during fan operation. The full tenon and mortise connection mode of Vanse HVLS Fan has obtained the Chinese patent certification. It is the safest connection mode of large industrial fan in the Chinese market at present. Being the best choice for customers who pay attention to safety performance, it can perfectly solve the hidden safety danger.
